HETAUDA, April 26 -- Raksirang Rural Municipality in Makwanpur has initiated school enrolment drive for children of the impoverished Chepang communities.
With the objective of providing education to all, the rural unit launched the campaign at Silinge-based Rastriya Madhyamik Vidhyalaya on Tuesday. The stakeholders took out a rally and urged the parents of the children of school-going age to send their wards to school.
Earlier, a joint meeting of the elected representatives of Wards 6, 7 and 8, chairpersons and headmasters of 16 community schools of the area decided to enrol all children of school-going age this academic session.
