Muscat, May 10 -- The Embassy of Nepal in Muscat, Oman, hosted a Nepal-Oman Friendship Hiking Programme on Saturday, aiming to deepen people-to-people ties while promoting physical wellness and environmental responsibility.
The hike began at 5:20 am from Riyam Park, passed through the historic Muttrah Fort, and concluded back at the starting point after a two-hour trek, according to a press note issued by the embassy.
A total of 46 participants joined the event, including Nepali Ambassador Dornath Aryal, Nadira Al Harthy, the first Omani woman to summit Mt Everest, embassy officials and their families, members of Nepali community organisations, Omani journalists, and popular social media influencers, the Embassy said.
