Kalikot, Feb. 9 -- A dry landslide has blocked the Khachha section of the Karnali Corridor in Humla, halting transportation since 8am on Sunday.

Passengers and goods carriers travelling to and from Humla's district headquarters and Sarkegad are stuck at the place, Police Head Constable Raj Bahadur Bista of the Balkuna temporary police post said. Many travellers have been forced to walk.

Efforts to clear the debris with an excavator are underway, but a broken truck has added difficulty in reopening the road. The landslide has buried about 20 metres of road in Khachha, ward 1 of Sarkegad Rural Municipality.
