Kathmandu, Feb. 24 -- member committee, led by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Laxman Singh, has been formed to investigate the death of Armed Police Force (APF) Inspector Santoshi Mahat, who was found hanging in a barrack.

The probe panel is headed by Singh, who is deputed at the National Armed Police Training Academy in Matatirtha.

The APF headquarters launched the investigation after Mahat's family filed a complaint against fellow inspector Vivek Joshi, accusing him of abetting her suicide.

Family members lodged the complaint with Kaski Police against Joshi, who is senior to Mahat in the force, said APF spokesperson DIG Kumar Neupane.
