Kathmandu, Sept. 8 -- The death toll from violent clashes between demonstrators and police in New Baneshwar on Monday has climbed to six after five other injured protesters succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at Civil Hospital and National Trauma Centre.
One protester had died earlier in the day at Civil Hospital, Baneshwar.
Two people receiving treatment at Civil Hospital died while undergoing treatment, said Mohan Chandra Regmi, executive director of the hospital. They sustained injuries during the protest outside the Federal Parliament building in Baneshwar.
