Rautahat, Feb. 22 -- The curfew imposed in parts of Gaur Municipality after clashes between two groups on Saturday remains in effect, the district administration said on Sunday.

The unrest erupted in Sabgadh in ward 6, where members of two communities reportedly argued during a wedding procession, escalating into stone-pelting and the torching of a vehicle.

Despite a six-point agreement reached on Friday evening following earlier confrontations, tensions resurfaced around 9am on Saturday, prompting authorities to enforce a curfew from 1pm.
