Kathmandu, June 23 -- On the occasion of World Music Day, national Tharu artists delivered a vibrant performance featuring original songs at the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, Kathmandu. The grand National Tharu Cultural Programme was organised by the National Tharu Artists' Forum, where performers showcased unique presentations representing their respective local traditions.

The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Rastriya Unmukti Party patron and former Member of Parliament, Resham Chaudhary. Speaking at the event, Chaudhary claimed that he had to serve time in prison for launching a cultural revolution in the name of identity.

During the programme, four senior contributors were honoured for their contributions.
