Kathmandu, April 3 -- Kathmandu District Court has extended the remand of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Senior Vice-chairman Rabindra Mishra and General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana, along with 39 others, for six more days for further investigation into their involvement in last Friday's violent protests.

Judge Dhakaram Poudel issued the order on Wednesday, permitting authorities to keep them in custody for additional investigation under charges related to offences against the state, criminal disturbance, and organised crime. Registrar Tirtharaj Bhattarai informed that those arrested on Tuesday have been remanded for seven days.
