Kathmandu, April 8 -- The Kathmandu District Court has extended the remand of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leaders Rabindra Mishra and Dhawal Shamsher Rana, along with 18 others, for an additional 15 days as part of an ongoing investigation into their alleged involvement in the violent pro-monarchy protests on March 28.

The bench of Judge Bishnu Prasad Upadhyaya granted the extension for further investigation into charges related to state offences. According to court registrar Dipak Kumar Shrestha, the remand extended on Tuesday was for the accusation of state-related crimes, while investigations into charges of criminal disturbance and organised crime have resulted in a 20-day remand for others.
