Kathmandu, June 30 -- The Standing Committee of the ruling Nepal Communist Party has agreed to revise the controversial provisions on two corruption-related amendment bills, but the party's lawmakers are adamant on including the private sector under the purview of the national anti-graft body.

Opposition parties and the private sectors have been criticising the government for trying to expand the jurisdiction of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority when it has failed to control corruption in the public sector.
