Kathmandu, Dec. 23 -- Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has indicated that the party's 15th convention, proposed for January 10-12, might be slightly deferred.

Speaking at a function in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Koirala mentioned that the delay in distributing active membership of the party might cause some delay in the general convention. "The convention may be delayed," he said, "I am not trying to delay it, I am the person who believes it should be held on the stipulated time."

The distribution and renewal of active membership in the Nepali Congress has not been completed on time. The party's active membership management committee meeting held on Tuesday decided to extend the renewal deadline until Wednesday afternoon. Previously,...
