Kathmandu, March 9 -- Church Boys United (CBU) lifted the ANFA U16 Youth League title defeating FC Khumlatar in their final league game at the Satdbobato-based ANFA Complex on Saturday.
CBU defeated Khumaltar 3-0 to earn three points and accumulate 50 points from 20 games (16 wins, two draws, two losses). CBU are followed by Armed Police Force (APF) FC with 45 points from 19 games.
APF play Nepal Police Club (NPC) in the final game of the league on March 16. Even if they win the match, APF would still fall two points short of CBU.
Karan Chaudhary's brace and an own goal by Seyon Rai helped CBU win the league title. Khumaltar, on the other hand, are in the second-from-last position with only two wins and three draws in 20 games.
