Kathmandu, April 18 -- Chitwan FC defeated Dhangadhi FC 3-1 in the final league game of the Nepal Super League Season 3 at Dasharath Stadium on Thursday to enter the playoffs for the first time.

Chitwan were clear on their target before facing Dhangadhi; a draw would be enough to ensure their entry to the next round. But their target appeared to be in jeopardy early as George Karki scored for Dhangadhi in the seventh minute. Karki sent the screamer from around 35 yards away, scoring what was one of the best goals in the NSL.

Dhangadhi's lead, however, didn't last long as Chitwan, earning a penalty in the 12th minute, equalised with Nodir Mavlonov scoring from the spot.
