Kathmandu, May 14 -- The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Wednesday bid farewell to the national cricket team ahead of its departure to Scotland for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 series.

According to the CAN, a farewell event was held at the Mulpani cricket ground. All players were present except team captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, who is currently attending his grade 12 board examinations.

Head coach Stewart Law has already left for the UK earlier due to personal reasons.

The team is scheduled to fly to Scotland on Wednesday evening. Captain Paudel will join the squad after completing his exams.
