Hetauda, Feb. 22 -- two people were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident in ward 7 of Manahari Rural Municipality in Makawanpur district along the East-West Highway section on Sunday morning.

The bus was heading to Chitwan from Birgunj when it lost control and crashed into an electricity pole at around 7am.

A team of 16 police personnel, including traffic police led by Police Inspector Deepak Thapa from the Area Police Office, Manahari, were deployed to the site.

All 22 injured passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were sent to Chitwan for treatment, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati of the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
