Kathmandu, March 24 -- Nirman Bogati of Kavre claimed the first Sakura National Snooker Tournament title on Saturday. In the best of 11 final at the Sakura Snooker Club in Jamal, Bogati defeated Amir Shrestha of Tanahu 64-53, 52-64, 111-23, 116-37, 124-12, 2-113, 34-58, 84-34, 108-30. It was 17th career title for Bogati who claimed his maiden national title.

Shrestha was playing his first ever tournament. Champion Bogati got Rs 110,00 and runner-up Shrestha took Rs 40,000. Bogati also claimed the most break award with 93 to his name. Sanjaya Bajracharya of Sunsari was adjudged the best player of the tournament.
