Kathmandu, Dec. 11 -- The bodies of five Nepalis who died in a nightclub fire in Goa have been handed over to their families.

According to Surendra Bahadur Thapa, deputy chief of mission at the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi, the bodies of four of the deceased were sent to Nepal on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the family of one victim collected the body in India and performed the last rites in Haridwar.

The embassy identified the deceased as Churna Bahadur Pun of Ghorahi, Dang; Lil Bahadur Katuwal (Bibek Chhetri) of Dudhauli, Sindhuli; Sabin BK of Jhapa; Manoj Jhora and Tikaram BK of Dadeldhura. All of them were staff at the nightclub, and Chhetri had been working at the nightclub for five years.
