Jhapa, June 8 -- An Armed Police Force sub-inspector died in a motorcycle accident in ward 3 of Kamal Rural Municipality along the East-West Highway on Saturday night.

According to the District Traffic Police Office, Jhapa, the motorcycle went out of control and crashed at around 8pm, resulting in the death of Purnalal Rajbanshi. He was serving at the Border Outpost (BOP) Samalbung in Ilam district.

Rajbanshi, 48, a resident of ward 4 in Kanepokhari Rural Municipality in Morang, was returning to duty after his home leave when the accident occurred. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to B&C Hospital in Birtamod for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead at 9pm.
