Kathmandu, March 24 -- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged by 26.10 points today, closing at 2,640.78 points, a 0.99 percent rise. This marks the first increase in six trading days, as market activity saw a noticeable uptick.

A total of 210 companies saw an increase in their stock values, while 33 companies experienced declines. The overall trading volume reached Rs4.48 billion, with 97,39,738 shares being exchanged over 58,235 transactions.
