Kathmandu, Dec. 22 -- As Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song is all set to leave the country on Wednesday after Beijing recalled him, the US President Donald Trump has also recalled 30 ambassadors from various countries, including from Nepal.

The ambassadors from the powerful countries are leaving Nepal and are sending their new representatives to Kathmandu at a time when the country is witnessing a dramatic political transition and preparing parliamentary elections on March 5.

According to the Associated Press, Dean Thompson, the serving US ambassador to Nepal, is also on the list of recall. He was appointed in Kathmandu by the previous Biden administration in March 2022.
