Saptari, March 2 -- year-old girl and a 14-year-old teenager were raped in separate places in Saptari district. The incidents, which occurred on February 26, have sparked outrage and prompted swift police action.

In the first case, a four-year-old girl from Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-7 was allegedly raped by a neighbour. The suspect, who was asked by the victim's mother to drop the child to a relative's house on a motorcycle, took her to an isolated location instead. The girl was later found unconscious and abandoned near her home. She was admitted to Gajendranarayan Hospital for treatment due to severe bleeding.
