Kathmandu, May 2 -- The play 'Vayupankhi Buffalo' made its debut yesterday at Kausi Theatre in Teku. The story revolves around a buffalo that decides to fly abroad but faces bureaucratic obstacles-it needs to pass an English test and obtain a Nepali passport. The performance takes a meta-theatrical approach, with actors openly questioning the absurdity of the plot as the play progresses.

The cast includes Nishan Khatri, Rishikesh Basyal, Shila Niroula, and Kabir Kafka. The play is voiced by Samaya, with original musical score by Rajat. Purnima Acharya is in charge of makeup. The production, supported by Tea-tales, presents an unconventional narrative that blends humour with subtle social commentary.
