Kathmandu, Nov. 22 -- A total of 837,094 new voters have been added to the electoral roll following the completion of the extended voter registration deadline at midnight on Thursday, according to the Election Commission.
The extension-granted after requests from stakeholders amid rising pressure at registration centres-allowed both biometric and National ID-based enrolment.
Of the newly listed voters, 344,914 registered through full biometrics, while 492,180 were added via their National Identity Cards, commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said.
