HETAUDA, April 17 -- The lack of land in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality has led to a situation where the budget allocated for the construction of a hospital could freeze. The Province 3 government had provided Rs10 million for the rural municipality for constructing a 500-bed Primary Health Centre.

Hidma Lama, chairman of the rural municipality, said, "It has become difficult to move ahead with the hospital's infrastructure construction due to the unavailability of sizeable land."

Lama said it is possible to demolish the old building of the current Primary Health Centre located in Bhimphedi downtown and build a new hospital complex there but the Department of Archaeology has restricted the demolition of old buildings.
