Kathmandu, Jan. 30 -- The Election Commission has identified 302 misleading, deceptive and harmful contents as violations of the Election Code of Conduct 2026 and forwarded them to the concerned authorities for action.

In a statement issued on Friday, the commission said the contents were detected by the Information Integrity Promotion Unit under the Election Information Dissemination and Coordination Centre and referred for action in accordance with prevailing laws.

The commission said the Election Code of Conduct 2026 has been in force since midnight on January 18 to ensure the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5 is conducted in a clean, fair, transparent and credible manner.
