Kathmandu, March 7 -- The Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok has repatriated 20 Nepali citizens left stranded in Thailand after being lured with promises of lucrative jobs in Palau. They were brought to Thailand via New Delhi on January 24.
The embassy sent them back to Nepal on Friday.
The embassy has urged Nepalis to go abroad for employment only after obtaining labour approval as per government regulations and warned against travelling to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, or other countries for foreign employment through illegal channels.
Earlier on February 21, the Nepali embassy, in cooperation with the Thai government, rescued five Nepali nationals, including four men and one woman, who were involved in scam operations in Myanmar.
