Desperately in need of a solid waste management plant (SWMP), the people in the city of temples may finally have it as the re-organisation of the state will leave no room for interference of the politicians.

Pertinently the Housing and Urban Development Department initiated the process in 2008. Over the years tenders were invited several times but the department got no response, informed sources said.

It is alleged that the project could not take off due to political interference.
