Srinagar, May 17 -- Senior Congress leader and member of the Congress Working Committee, Vikar Rasool Wani, recently concluded a significant three-day tour of border villages in the Uri and Tanghdar sectors of Jammu & Kashmir, areas heavily affected by cross-border shelling. This outreach marks one of the most prominent visits by a national political figure to these sensitive regions in recent months.
Wani's visit covered numerous villages, including Rajanwari, Bandi, Lagama, Salamabad, and Calkagi in Uri, and Hajiner, Tanghdar, Gomal, Batpora, and Turbuni in Tanghdar. During his interactions, he engaged directly with families whose lives have been severely impacted by the ongoing tensions along the Line of Control (LoC).
