Anantnag, July 14 -- Two militants affiliated with Jaish-e-Muhammad outfit were killed during a gunfight with security forces in Viddy Srigufwara village of south Kashmir's Anantnag on Monday.

During the initial exchange of fire between militants and security forces one woman was also injured near the encounter site. She was immediately evacuated and hospitalized, reports said.

According to official reports, a joint team of the police, the Army's 3 RR and the CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
