RAJOURI, April 13 -- In a significant action against drug trafficking, Police Station Nowshera apprehended two drug peddlers and recovered 14 grams of heroin-like substance from their possession.
A police team led by ASI Mohd Aslam was on routine patrol duty in Bareri and adjoining areas early this morning. Around 5:00 AM, the team noticed two individuals moving suspiciously on foot from Bareri towards Kulwant Chowk. Upon seeing the police, both tried to flee but were swiftly chased down and apprehended.
During preliminary questioning, the duo identified themselves as:
Sahil Sharma @ Sahu, son of Som Nath Sharma, resident of Dandesar, Tehsil Nowshera
Ajay Bhardwaj, son of Surjeet Kumar, resident of Bareri, Tehsil Nowshera
