JAMMU, May 4 -- In a major crackdown on forest-related crime, the Jammu Police on Sunday seized a truck allegedly involved in the illegal transportation of timber in the Gharota area.
Acting on credible information regarding unauthorized tree felling in the forest region near Khrota Showa village, a joint team comprising officials from Police Station Gharota and the Forest Department conducted a swift operation. During the search, a truck bearing registration number JK20-3287 was discovered abandoned by the roadside.
