KATRA, Aug. 5 -- Transport Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan today paid a surprise visit to Katra town to review transport management and assess compliance with Motor Vehicle norms.
During the visit, the Transport Commissioner held meetings with civil and police officers and other stakeholders. He directed officers and concerned ARTO to conduct regular enforcement drives against commercial vehicles operating without valid documentation, including permits and licences. Special emphasis was placed on establishing NAKAs at designated locations and conducting joint vehicle checking drives to ensure strict compliance.
