The death of two youth one employee of Tourism Department and a private lady while rafting in Lidder river near Pahalgam in Anantnag district has exposed State Tourism Department of lacking technical know how so far as river rafting is concerned.
This second incident in last one week. Earlier a youth Rouf Ahmed was killed during rafting while trying to save four visitors whose boat had capiczed during rafting in river Lidder last week.
That incident had also put a question mark over the expertise of tourism Department so far as adventure tourism especially rafting is concerned.
