Srinagar, March 15 -- Four terrorists were killed after a gunfight raged between militants and security forces in Watergam village of South Kashmir's of Anantnag on Sunday.

Police said that acting on specific information, Anantnag Police along with security forces including 19 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Dar Mohalla Watarigam area of Dialgam, Anantnag.

During the search operation, the hiding militants fired upon the joint search party. "The fire was retaliated leading to an encounter," police said.
