SUCHETGARH, May 12 -- Senior Congress leader and DDC Member from Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony, has come down heavily on the BJP-led central government for agreeing to a ceasefire at a time when India had the upper hand against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. He termed the move a "strategic and moral defeat," stating that this was the right time to settle scores with Pakistan and move towards reclaiming Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
"This was the best opportunity to deal a final blow to Pakistan and dismantle its terror infrastructure once and for all. Instead, we've handed over a lifeline to the enemy. This ceasefire benefits Pakistan far more than it does India," Tony said in a press release issued here today.
