Jammu, May 8 -- Pakistan's ties to terrorist organizations were laid bare as Al-Qaeda's regional affiliate, Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), issued a statement supporting Pakistan and declaring a so-called "Jihad fi Sabilillah" against India following India's airstrikes on terrorist hideouts in Operation Sindoor.

On May 7, 2025, India conducted targeted bombings of terrorist locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). In response, AQIS released a statement titled "Indian Aggression on the land of Pakistan," accusing India of waging a prolonged war against Islam and framing the airstrikes as part of a decades-long pattern of aggression.
