Jammu, Oct. 11 -- In a hard-hitting statement, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday revealed that writers and media figures in Kashmir were forced to promote narratives "pushed from across the border" due to fear of terrorists and their ecosystem, distorting the region's true story for decades.
"Writers and media figures grudgingly admit that, out of fear of terrorists and their ecosystem, they were forced to promote the narrative being pushed from across the border in the Valley," Sinha said while inaugurating the second edition of the Kashmir Literature Festival, organized by Srikula Foundation at Srinagar.
