DODA, Oct. 8 -- Doda Police secured the conviction of a terror accused namely Irfan Ali, son of Shafqat Ali, resident of Kilhotran, Tehsil Gandoh, for offences punishable under Sections 302/34 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) and Section 7/27 of the Arms Act for the imprisonment of life.
The case originated from an FIR No. 57/2002, registered at Police Station Gandoh on 04-07-2002, following the cold-blooded murder of an innocent civilian who happened to be the Sarpanch of his area Sh. Sher Mohd r/o Changa Gandoh, by the accused and his associates affiliated with a militant outfit. After committing the gruesome murder, the accused fled the scene.
