RAMBAN, Feb. 1 -- In a tragic incident that occurred at about 0010 hrs on Friday 01/2/25, one person lost his life and three others were injured in a road accident on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. The accident took place at Battery Chashma area and vehicle fell approximately 1000-1500 feet below the road, when the driver of a vehicle lost control and rolled down the hill.
According to sources, the vehicle was traveling from Jammu to Srinagar with a licensed alcohol load, and the driver was allegedly driving rashly and negligently. The incident occurred at around 0010 hrs, and a police team from Ramban Police Station, including the SHO, Civil QRT, and UTDRF, was immediately dispatched to the scene.
