JAMMU, Feb. 25 -- As part of its ongoing drive to check the practice of conversion of B2C invoices into B2B and passing on fake ITC to dealers especially those registered as work contractors, Jammu and Kashmir, State Taxes Department (STD) conducted simultaneous search and seizure inspections at various locations across Jammu division here today.
The Department has urged the dealers to follow fair-trade practices and avoid indulging in tax evasion activities or fraudulent practices involving fake ITC as it is continuously monitoring such actions through AI based data analytics tools and any dealer indulging in such activities shall be dealt with seriously under GST law.
