JAMMU, Feb. 3 -- J&K State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) presented Human Organ Awareness Programme at 166 Military Hospital Satwari today on Feb 03 to sensitize medical personnel of the hospital including field staff and families of army persons about the importance of donating organs/tissues to those in need posthumously.
Dr. Elias Sharma, HoD Urology & Kidney Transplant SSH Jammu and Nodal Officer SOTTO explained the procedure involved in Human Organ Donation with legal implications. He said that the human body was not a commodity, to be bought or sold, It is purely an altruistic act of donation of organs and tissues.
