MALIGAON, Jan. 30 -- Indian Railways has accorded approval for six important new line projects under the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), marking a major step towards strengthening railway infrastructure and improving connectivity in North Bengal and North East region. This decision of the Railway Board enables the immediate execution of the works, reflecting the Government's continued focus on infrastructure led development and regional integration towards railway connectivity. The approved projects include the Raiganj-Itahar (22.16 km) and Gazole-Itahar (27.20 km) new railway lines.
