Jammu, Dec. 20 -- Additional Sessions Judge (Fast Track), Doda, designated under the NIA Act, BA Munshi has rejected the bail application of accused Firdous Ahmed in a terror funding and arms recovery case, holding that a prima facie case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), IPC and Arms Act is made out against him.

Court observed that at this stage there are no reasonable grounds to believe that the accused is not guilty of the offences alleged. The court said the rigours of Section 43-D(5) of the UAPA squarely apply, barring grant of bail where accusations appear prima facie true.
