SRINAGAR, Aug. 31 -- In a significant political development, several senior workers of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) from Hadigam, Kulgam, formally joined the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) on Sunday. The joining ceremony was held at the SBSP state head office in Srinagar and was attended by prominent party leaders and workers.

Those who joined the SBSP include Shiyak Ahmad Raina, Fayaz Ahmed Ganai, Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat, and Abdul Rashid Najar. Their decision to switch sides is being regarded as a major boost for the SBSP in South Kashmir, where the party has been steadily working to expand its organizational presence.
