Leh, May 20 -- The Administrative Secretary, Social & Tribal Welfare Department, Union Territory of Ladakh, Shashanka Ala chaired a review meeting at the Civil Secretariat, Leh, to assess the progress of Girls' Hostels and Working Women's Hostels being executed by the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL).
The Executive Director of NHIDCL provided an overview of the progress on the ongoing 300-bedded hostel projects.
During the meeting, the Secretary reviewed the status of ongoing and proposed hostel projects. She emphasized the importance of timely execution to ensure improved access to education and employment opportunities for women, particularly those from remote and underserved areas.
