Premises of dozens of schools in remote villages of the city remain covered in snow, which are forcing children to stay at home. After three-month-long winter vacations, schools reopened on Monday, but snow has not been removed from many schools in remote areas and the students are made to go through these rough conditions.

As far as the education department is concerned, there has been no survey before starting the fifth session of education. The school officials must have gone for a complete survey to see which schools are feasible for the opening as most schools are in the far-flung districts.
