SAMBA, April 24 -- In a continued crackdown on bovine smuggling in the region, Samba Police successfully foiled an attempt to transport cattle illegally and rescued four bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba.
Acting on a tip-off from reliable sources, a police team from Police Post Supwal, under the supervision of Incharge PP Supwal, intercepted a Mahindra Load Carrier bearing registration number JK02CN-0704 near Barian. Upon inspection, the team discovered four bovines crammed into the vehicle in an inhumane manner, being transported without any valid documentation or permission.
