Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar on Monday called the killing of terrorists like Burhan Wani and Zakir Musa martyrdom and indirectly sought votes in their name during a public address in Pulwama.

While speaking at a worker's conventions of Pulwama and Rajpura assembly segments at Pulwama, the JKNC general secretary said, "BJP got votes in Tral, it's an irony. It's a place where Burhan Wani and Zakir Musa were martyred. It shouldn't have happened."

Sagar is a very senior leader of the National Conference and he has served as a minister in the Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet in the past. The JKNC had lost over a dozen Vidhan Sabha seats in the 2014 elections...
