REASI, Nov. 30 -- In continued action against drug trafficking, District Police Reasi achieved another success during the intervening night of 29/30 November 2025, when a patrolling party of Police Station Katra apprehended a narcotics peddler and seized illicit drugs from his possession.
During routine naka checking on the Katra-Udhampur road near the Helipad, the police team noticed a pedestrian coming from the Panthal side towards Katra. On seeing the police party, the individual attempted to flee, raising suspicion. The alert police personnel promptly chased and apprehended him.
On questioning, he identified himself as Jamad Ali S/O Abdul Haq R/O Paroh Kheri, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi.
