REASI, April 13 -- In a major success in the ongoing drive against drug abuse, Reasi Police achieved a significant breakthrough today. A police party of Police Station Katra apprehended one individual during a routine checking and frisking operation.
The accused, identified as Pawan Singh @ Pummy, son of Vakil Singh, resident of Serwad, Katra, was found in possession of 07.03 grams of heroin-like substance and an unauthorized weapon (Toka). The contraband and weapon were seized on the spot.
In this connection, FIR No. 105/2025 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act and 4/25 of the Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Katra. Investigation is underway to unearth the forward and backward linkages of this narcotics network.
